The Story
In the South American highlands, the Altiplano, a traveler is on the move, helping the inhabitants of this barren landscape improve their living conditions through new achievements. As he travels, he acquires or trades rare goods into valuable opals. Randomly occurring events also affect the lives of the inhabitants, making them more diverse.
This first major expansion for Altiplano requires even more precise planning of movements and encourages competition for sometimes scarce resources. By acquiring the travelerās achievements, the prosperity of oneās own situation can be improved.
Altiplano: The Traveler can also be played without the Traveler; only the events and the new cards Boat, House, Mission, and Assignment will come into play!
